  • Distribute or share your duties and responsibilities with your husband. A child’s upbringing and day-to-day care are not only the duty of the mother only. It is, in fact, it is the dual responsibility of both the mother and the father.
  • Keep in touch with your family doctor or midwife as much as possible.
  • Take good care of your own health.
  • If you get the chance to get some shut-eye then do so.
  • Most of all try to enjoy yourself as much as possible and stay with your child at all times as close as possible.
  • If any help is necessary, then go ahead and help.

For Husbands and Friends

  • Tell the patient in no uncertain terms that such feelings are normal;
  • Be patient. Do not forget that the mother of the child is experiencing some deep and dangerous changes in her mind and body. It’s really hard for him to get out of it.
  • Try to see that she is not focusing on her social and sexual activities. Remember that all of these are symptoms of depression, never take them for granted

For example, rejection of friends and isolation is a source of frustration. The first signs of a change in personality are also present in the whole community.

Studies have shown that 25-30% same age young people of the same age try to commit suicide. Teens do not commit during the time of depression. But they rather commit suicide after the depression has gone. This is so difficult to judge. The reason is that during the depression period they might not have the strength to do so.
